I have over 27 years of experience in virtually every aspect of the real estate industry: Sales, Finance, Construction, Appraisal, Advertising, Home Staging, and I'm an excellent negotiator, looking out for my clients' best interests at all times. I keep abreast of market and legal issues, as well as up-to-date modern technology, and even manage my own web site here. I design and implement personalized marketing programs, customized to my client's particular needs and wants.
 And one thing that really sets me apart from other realtors is I will assist my clients in staging their home to make it most appealing to potential buyers. I have studied home staging, and am very good at transforming the look of rooms by furniture placement and accessorizing. Home staging is crucial to selling a home, especially in this market, and to realize the home's maximum sale price. When I list a home for sale, I will actually assist my clients by helping them move furniture to accentuate a focal point in the rooms, and to improve the spaciousness and flow of the room. I use accessories they already have throughout their home to make interest in the rooms, and this staging service is included as part of what I do when I list a home. For homes that require more extensive staging efforts, I will recommend removing wallpaper, painting or other improvements as needed, and refer those homeowners to a qualified, full-time home stager for assistance.
 I have an active Broker's license with RE/MAX® Pros. I am very proud of my Broker’s license, as it marks a level of accomplishment comparable to a Master’s Degree in Real Estate, with the many requirements to meet, as well as education and a very intensive testing process involved.
I believe in education, and earned a BA degree in Speech/Radio & TV Broadcasting from Pennsylvania State University, where I minored in Advertising. I worked for several years at a local radio station in Elyria, WEOL Radio, writing and recording commercials. I use this experience daily, in the creative advertising and marketing I employ to market my listings.
I also have a degree in Accounting/Business from Lorain County Community College, graduating With Honors, majoring in Accounting and Business. After college, I had worked my way up at various corporations, as an accountant before I realized that my career of choice was truly in Real Estate. In real estate, this accounting and business background proves invaluable, as I am able to knowledgably discuss tax advantages of homeownership, as well as creative financing options, and much more.
 My father was a builder and an appraiser, so I had actually been around the business of real estate my whole life, and picked up so much about appraisal and construction from him, which likewise helps me stand apart from other realtors.
Over the 27 years I have been a licensed Realtor, I have taken numerous continuing education programs, have sold over a thousand homes, and have won nearly every award possible for my creative advertising and my sales successes, including top company producer for listings and sales for a large local real estate firm. I even owned my own real estate company for over 3 years, which was an experience I really learned from in so many ways.
It’s the combination of all my life training and experiences that have developed me into the Realtor I am today, and I use this, along with the knowledge that I know how important that your home is to you, to do everything possible to ensure that your real estate experience is a smooth, pleasant experience. I have been blessed to actually love what I do for a living, and that love gives me a nonstop energy to do the very best for my clients.
